Phonex Announces Supplier Arrangement with Jasco to Provide New Wireless Phone Jack Design
Salt Lake City, UT (PRWeb) January 31, 2007 -- Phonex™ (www.phonex.com), a leading volume provider of voice and data communications over powerline, announced a supplier arrangement with Jasco for the Wireless Phone Jack model PX-211, which is backed by Phonex's powerful IP portfolio. This arrangement allows Jasco to distribute the PX211 in the United States. Jasco will distribute this product under the GE Brand to retail accounts. The new PX-211 model features pre-set security codes, easy to read diagnostic LEDs, and a sleek new design.
"We have greatly improved ease of use with the PX-211 design," said John Knab, CEO. "Jasco can now leverage its distribution and GE brand to maximize impact of these changes in the retail market."
"The new PX-211 design is now a one SKU solution for retailers for the many in-home applications their customers may have," said Senior Product Manager, Rick Weber at Jasco.
The GE Brand design (model 86597) is available now through national distributors and retail outlets. More information can be found on the web at www.jascoproducts.com.
About the PX-211
The PX-211 is a fifth generation improvement of the innovative, patent protected Wireless Phone Jack technology offered by Phonex. Easy Jack 2 comes with a preset security code, automatic configuration, and sleek new simple to use design. The Phonex Easy Jack 2 turns any electrical outlet into a CallerID capable phone connection for satellite receivers, digital video recorders, postage-meter machines, dial-up modems and simply adding a phone jack for any phones including use with VOIP systems.
Security codes prevent the base and extension from communicating with other Phonex devices that may be within range. With codes preset from the factory, base and extension within the same box are preset to only communicate with each other using one of more than 65,000 security codes. When more than one extension is desired, a simple touch of a button on the base can transmit the encoded security key to up to 8 total extensions.
Another new feature checks the link between base and extension and illuminates a green LED on the front of the extension. This gives the consumer or installer peace of mind that the device is functioning without physically testing for dial tone. In addition to improved temperature and static resistance, the Easy Jack 2 product design features new markings to easily distinguish between base and extension. The configuration button has also been changed from a pen point button to a simple to use finger button.
